This World Below 2002-2004
“This World Below” is a phrase from Johnny Cash’s version of “Wayfaring Stranger”. Caught at the beginning of the first of several trips through Europe, the lyric established itself as the underlying motif for the project.
“This World Below” is a poetic meditation upon the nature of existence using the metaphor of a traveler “passing through” a world of mediated, though deeply felt, experiences.
